How to make dedicated bus lanes #1246
Updated: 1/2/04 OS/platforms(s): Unknown Versions: All

sometimes there is a need for dedicated buslanes, in reality as well as in SimCity. For example when you want a short connection between living and working and you don't want to make a full road connection. Because this will increase congestion on all roads leading to and from this connection and will decrease traffic on your specially constructed highway or avenue. How to do make these special buslanes. It is quite simple, lay down a street/road and bulldoze the first tile and place a bus stop. And the road behind the stop has only busstraffic (only when having no houses, offices or industry along the road) I have no clear evidence that this action will increase total number of bus travellers and decrease car traffic. But it seems logical, because it does reduce travel time.
